I started researching the Vietnam War in high school and have continued to do so off and on since. I appreciate the truth in the facts that are available on this site. It makes my job as a teacher much more honest and effective.
To the Vets, there are no words that are appropriate for what needs to be said. A simple thank you is not enough and yet that is all I have.
Thank you - and take care.

My husband was at Cu Chi on Feb 26 1969. I'm looking for information about a huge attack on the base on that date. He was in the motor pool when it was over run with VC. That was the day that about 9 huge helicopters were destroyed. I'm looking for anyone who was in the motor pool, or knew about the motor pool attack, and about tunnels found later on the base. We are working on a PTSD claim based on that incident. Thank you very much.

USMC..1968 TET OFFENSIVE Served at Marble Mountain MAG-16, South Vietnam;; units I served with HMM-361, (temp to HML-163), ZULU Company and H&MS-16 ...4-1968 TO 2-1969
Lost some bro's over there. It was a long time ago.
..I remember all those rocket/mortar attacks at Mag-16,,we had quite of few wia-kia;s, the search & destroy and cleanups at base of Marble Mountain by the VC pow camp, and over by Dogpatch:; went up to Monkey Mountain (between us and China Beach)a few times on patrol: we got hit with sniper fire I remember a TV station up there. I saw a hugh rock that said "boom boom rock",,took some photos,,most of the grusome photos I took of dead gooks were taken away from
me at transient at Da Nang when I left country:
did some non crew resupply and extractions
on Hueys, 34's and 46's..man was I stupid then.
Shot at gooks as a door gunner on a Huey a few
times:: I don't think I ever want to see Nam ever
again. It really suck ,,bucu bucu suck,
