I am searching for some informations about Nam since I have just started to write my autobiography, when I came across this page.
I was born in Vietnam in the 29th Evacuation Hospital (SMBL), 1968. My father was Walter Grunt, a German and my mom Chan, a chinese. My father passed away since I was 19, and I am lack of so many informations about Nam during the period we lived there. My dad was transferred to Cambodia around 1973...?
Can anyone remember him??? I would love to hear from you. Please write to: GerlindeGrunt@aol.com

Hi. I was a Avionics tech assigned to VMA(AW)225 in DaNang in late 70-early 71. Got assigned to Special Services to operate the library at mainside near the chow hall. Special Services ran the movie theater, boxing smokers, basketball tourneys and the weight room, as well as the tape trailer (reel-to-reel to cassete or 8 track were our specialty). Hope all you guys are well. Taught english to the Catholic school kids out in town (Ben Hua?) a few times. I remember the kids were too bashful and embarrassed to speak their lessons. Will not forget the smell of burning latrines.
