My Step-Father who I think of a father more than my dad served in Vietnam. He doesn't talk much about it but I know it's difficult to talk about. I think Dan Melton my step-dad who is married to my mom Laura Melton is a brave man that is very smart. He is now an Avid out door person that loves to fish, hunt, and alot more. I hope some day he will teach me to be as good of person as he is.

Hey, Dad. just wanted to say some things to the people that are signing the guest book. i know that i am young at only 20 and in the Marines but with my experience with going to Vietnam it has changed my life and the lives of other that went with me. I really never knew the effects of war on the veterns till i went to Vietnam and saw how they acted facing there fears. Alot say i will never go back. So did my dad but look at were he is at know. Instead of hate he has love for the people. I believe that others with fears from the war should stand up and say this is the day i end those fears, and you can do it. All you need is a little faith. i have a whole new look on the veterins and mad respect for them and what they have done. I can only wope to return the favor. Thank You and Semper Fi

My mother and I started a Vietnam Scrabook for my dad last week. His name is Matthias Letson. He served in Vietnam from December 1970 to December 1971. As we were starting on the book he told me about a few of the men he was over there with. One of the men was Kyle Moon. My father and Kyle were best friends. The next night I was doing research on Vietnam to see if I could find other things for his scrapbook. While doing this I thought it would be great to find Kyle. I search for him and he was the second person I called. I believe the Lord wanted me to find Kyle and that is why it didn't take long to find him. He and my father are getting together this weekend. I am now extremely interested and excited about doing this scrapbook and hearing all their stories. I would like to find some of the other men that were with my father and Kyle in Vietnam. If you remember them or have heard anyone speak of either of them, please email me at Karebears1981@aol.com. Thanks!

I'm Vietnamese yet I don't know much about my history because I was very young when I left my country. Knowing what my people and country went through is heartbreaking. Thank you for providing the information that I can learn about my culture. Though I am only 12,I can understand all the things going on around the world...So once again thank you.

Hi. my name is leah and i'm doing my junior paper on Vietnam. I'd like to know any ones opinion of what happened there if you don't mind. Also if you think we should have even entered the war altogether. If it's alright anyone who sends me info. I would love to use it in my paper w/ your permission. If you don't want your name used or don't want me to repeat it I won't. I'm in JROTC at my high school & plan on going to the military. I thank all of you for your service to our country. Even though I'm a girl I plan on protecting my country like all of you & especially like my father. If any of you have any advice also for me I would love to hear them. I want to make my family proud of me. Thank you so much & God bless all of you.
