Three of my brothers served in the Vietnam War and came back. I being the youngest joined at the end of the war and served 10 years active duty and reserve time. I never was called to war and wondered if I would of faced it with the heroic ways of my brothers. I recently had to deal with my own daughter being sent to war. She was assigned to a combat support hospital that saw alot. She says little of her year helping to save the lives of these brave men and woman. I just want her to know that I am so very proud of her.

Drafted in 1968 and served as Classified Documents Clerk (PFC, SP4 & SP5) with the HHC, 18th Engr. Brigade @ Dong Ba Thin from Jan 1969 to Dec 1969. Wondering about how some of my old buddies are these days and where they are at. Also wonder about Thim and Hai, how things went for them after US left, and what has gone one with them over the years. I live in Kentucky these days. If any of this rings a bell with you, send me a note. Donnie

Served with the 1st Air Cavalry Division July 1970 - June 1971, originally out of Phuoc Vinh in III Corps and later out of Da Nang. Assignments ranged from infantry platoon leader to base security officer. Although I was affiliated with USARV I often yearned to serve with MACV so I could learn the language and help the people. As a very young Christian, I could say that it was in Vietnam that God first touched my heart to be a missionary.
