Upcoming Trips

All 2014 Vietnam trips are sold-out, filled-up, as the deadline for participation was November 1, 2013.

The next Vietnam trips are tentatively scheduled to take place in May, 2015. One humanitarian medical team will probably go to Quang Binh Province, and the second to Da Nang. They will run back-to-back during that month.

Please check back after the first of the year for more details!

Contact Chuck at or Joette at for additional information. If you would like to call, the office number is 803-405-9926.

What do VWAM humanitarian teams do?

Most teams are involved in a project and/or a medical team usually working out of a previously built or sponsored VWAM clinic in Da Nang City, Da Nang or Quang Nam Province. It could be in a ward or district in the city, or in a rural area in a province. Team trips are also taken to Dong Ha in Quang Tri Province and Hong Ha in Tua Thien Hue Province as well as other selected areas of Central and Southern Vietnam. There are both health/medical volunteer and non-health/non-medical volunteer opportunities on each team. Both Vietnam veterans (given preference) and non-veterans (repeat team members given priority) are encouraged to participate! Approximately 25 volunteer positions available on each team.
